ELLICOTT CITY, MD – A Howard County construction project to repair and improve the stormwater management pond and stabilize the stream channel adjacent to 4525 Rutherford Way in Dayton, is expected to begin on or about Monday, June 2nd. The project includes replacing the existing spillway barrel, riser, low-flow pipe, and outfall structure with a reinforced concrete barrel and riser. The project also includes adjusting and stabilizing the existing stream channel adjacent to the pond. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by late September.
While the project is not expected to impact the flow of traffic, signs will be posted in the project area to notify residents of the construction, which will take place Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and occasional Saturdays with prior notice.
This project is funded through the County’s Watershed Protection and Restoration Fund.
