ELLICOTT CITY, MD – A Howard County construction project to build a sidewalk along eastbound Frederick Road between Gray Rock Drive and Jay Drive in Ellicott City has resumed. The project originally began in December 2021, but was halted due to cold weather. In addition to the sidewalk construction, a freestanding pedestrian bridge will also be installed over the Little Patuxent River located just east of 3401 Jay Drive. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by late May 2022.

We're working towards creating a more multi-modal community, so that families and neighbors of all abilities can safely access all that Howard County has to offer. This new sidewalk and pedestrian bridge will be a critical connection for our residents to walk safely to amenities like our Miller Branch Library and 50+ Center.
