ELLICOTT CITY, MD – Howard County’s Department of Public Works (DPW) will hold a virtual public meeting on Thursday, April 8th starting at 6:00 p.m., to discuss plans for an Ellicott City stream stabilization project.

To improve a stream located on Howard County open space west of Bonnie Branch Road and south of College Avenue and just opposite 4615 Bonnie Branch Road. DPW’s Bureau of Environmental Services plans to stabilize approximately 675 linear feet of actively eroding stream banks along Bonnie Branch Road using bank grading and rock structures. The project is expected to begin in July 2022.

The informal meeting will include an overview of the design followed by an open discussion. County staff and the project’s design consultant will be on hand to answer any questions and gather public comments.
