ELLICOTT CITY, MD – Howard County’s Department of Public Works (DPW) will hold a virtual public meeting on Tuesday, August 11 starting at 7:00 p.m., to present plans for a stream stabilization project between 6733 and 6737 Pirch Way in Elkridge. The purpose of the project is to stabilize the stream channel and banks and to provide water quality improvements to areas downstream.

The project will include the stabilization of approximately 300 linear feet of a tributary to Deep Run. Also, the streambanks will be graded and riffle grade control and stone toe protection structures will be positioned along the project area. This project is expected to begin in September 2020.
