ELLICOTT CITY, MD – Howard County’s Recreation and Parks Advisory Board will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, December 11 at 7:00 p.m. at Recreation & Parks headquarters, 7120 Oakland Mills Road in Columbia, to discuss the Department of Recreation and Parks’ draft FY2021 Capital Budget and draft FY2021-2030 Capital Improvement Program for the acquisition and development of park and recreation lands.

Beginning this Wednesday, November 20, residents will be able to view the draft FY2021 Capital Budget online at www.howardcountymd.gov/advisoryboard. Residents can also request to have a hardcopy of the draft budget mailed to them by calling 410-313-4685.

From the same link starting on the 20th, residents will also be able to sign-up online to speak at the hearing or provide online testimony. Residents are reminded that internet testimony is considered public information and, as such, is subject to the Maryland Public Information Act.    

Residents who do not wish to sign-up online will still be able to sign-up in person on the night of the public hearing beginning at 6:30 p.m.
