As of July 1, 2020 Styrofoam™ #6 is no longer accepted at the Residents' Convenience Center at Alpha Ridge Landfill. This is largely due to the ban on expanded polystyrene (Styrofoam™) food packaging that recently went into effect in Maryland.
Electronics Recycling at Alpha Ridge Landfill
As part of enhancements to the Residents' Convenience Center, temporary adjustments to the location of electronic recycling drop-off will take place between June and September 2020. Electronics are still being accepted. Check with landfill staff for exact location.
