PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE:

Blandair Regional Park -
Public Input Meeting

The Department of Recreation and Parks will hold a public input meeting for interested parties regarding the proposed Blandair Regional Park in Columbia.

The public meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 11, 2008, at the Oakland Mills High School Auditorium, 9410 Kilimanjaro Road, Columbia, MD 21045. The purpose of the public meeting will be to receive input from the public on the proposed master plan. The consultant will be making a presentation of the proposed Master Plan.

PLEASE NOTE:

• The Department is anticipating a large turnout at this Public Meeting; therefore, time will be limited for speaking. Individuals and organizations will have three minutes to speak in order to conclude this meeting in a timely fashion. Due to the given time allotment for us to remain at Oakland Mills High School and the number of anticipated speakers, there may not be enough time for everyone to have the opportunity to speak. We encourage you to prepare your written testimony to be submitted to the Department to ensure that your voice will be heard and taken into consideration.

• There will be three sign-up stations prior to entering the auditorium should you wish to speak.

• The Department of Recreation and Parks reserves the right to conduct this Public Meeting in a safe and efficient environment for public input from the various surrounding communities and groups.
