About Living Well
Living Well offers FREE community-based workshops in a small group setting aimed at helping adults become stronger and better educated in managing ongoing health conditions.
Living Well Chronic Disease Self-Managment courses are offered as six weekly classes that offers ways to better handle chronic health conditions resulting from: Asthma, Stroke, Diabetes, Depression, Disease, High Blood Pressure, Chronic Pain, Cancer, Obesity, Cardiovascular, Arthritis, Anxiety, and Osteoporosis.

What Living Well workshops are offered?
The Office on Aging and Independence offers the Chronic Disease Self-Management workshop and the Diabetes Self-Management workshop. Workshops are offered in-person at various locations as well as virtually. Workshops are available in English, Korean, and Spanish.
What are the benefits of participating in a Living Well workshop?
Self-management workshops are proven to provide physical, mental, and emotional improvements that effect one’s quality of life:
- Learn techniques to better communicate with providers
- Increase confidence and motivation to make healthy changes
- Create action plans to reach personal goals
- Practice using problem solving as a technique to adapt goals to changing circumstances
- Discover skills to address difficult emotions
How much does a Living Well workshop cost?
All Living Well workshops are FREE to participants.
Are Living Well workshops suitable for care givers?
Yes, workshops are designed for individuals living with one or more chronic conditions and/or their caregivers. Weekly topics include techniques to manage fatigue, frustration, healthy eating, appropriate exercise, communication skills, stress management, and goal setting.
How do I sign up?
