Come experience what Howard County Recreation & Parks has to offer your children at the 4th annual Kid’s Fest at Meadowbrook Park! This exciting event features sports instruction, games, activities, arts and crafts, food, and much more. Bring the whole family and enjoy fun for all ages. In the event of inclement weather, Kid’s Fest will move inside the Meadowbrook Athletic Complex.

Registration

Preregistration is encouraged but not required. If the event is full, we highly encourage you to get on the wait list for the event. If we're able to open up the event to more participants, an email will be sent out to everyone on the wait list about additional spots for preregistration.

Event Parking

Parking for Kids Fest will fill up fast, so we strongly encourage carpooling! Please follow signs to designated lots.

Parking is available at the following locations and will fill up accordingly:

-Meadowbrook Park – 5001 Meadowbrook Lane, Ellicott City, MD 21043

-Meadowbrook Playground Parking Lot at the corner of Meadowbrook Lane and Long Gate Pkwy

-The Dorsey Building (Complimentary shuttle to and from event) - 9250 Bendix Rd Columbia, MD 21045

**Accessible Parking is available at all lots

**Shuttle Bus Schedule - once an overflow lot is being used, buses will continuously travel from the event to the parking lot for the duration of the event

What is the cost of the event?

It is $5 per participant between the ages of 2-12 years old.

Do parents need to attend the event with their children?

Yes, parents must attend the event with their children and supervise them at all time.

Do parents need to register for the event?

No, only participants between the ages of 2-12 need to be enrolled for the event.

How do I register for the event?

You can either register online (CLICK HERE) or you can call our registration department directly at 410-313-7275.

 

The event is currently full. Is there a waitlist for the event?

The event initially has a max of 300 spots available for the event. If those spots fill up, you can add your name to the waitlist for the event either by going online (CLICK HERE) or by calling our registration department at 410-313-7275. If we’re able to open the event up to more registrants, our registration staff will be in contact with you about getting enrolled for the event.

I missed the cut off for pre-registration. Will we be able to purchase tickets the day of the event?

The initial maximum for the event is 300 participants. If we’re able to open up the event to more than the initial maximum, pre-registration will be opened back up and participants will have until noon the Thursday before the event to pre-register for the event. After that, there will be on-site registration the day of the event. It is highly encourage to pre-register for the event for a quicker entrance into the activities. 

I’m on the waitlist for the event. When will I be notified about enrolling?

The decision will be made about a week prior to the start of the event whether or not the event will be opened up to more registrants. If it is opened, our registration staff will be in contact with everyone on the waitlist about getting enrolled for the event.
