Registration opens at 6pm on Wednesday, December 5.

Pre-registration is encouraged but not required. There will also be onsite registration the day of the event.  

Ticket Prices:

  • Pre-Registration: $8 per child (2-12 years of age)
  • Day of Event (on-site): $10 per child (2-12 years of age)
  • Day of Event (online): $8 per child (2-12 years of age)

Only 300 pre-sold tickets are available. If the event is full, please purchase a "Waitlist" ticket and you'll be notified if/when ticket sales re-open.

 

How to register for the event:

Online – Buy your tickets online to enter the event through the Pre-Registered Lane (Printed ticket or receipt on your phone required at gate). CLICK HERE to purchase your online ticket.

Day of Event (if/when ticket sales re-open) – Cash or check at gate or online (credit card only).

Come experience what Howard County Recreation & Parks has to offer your children at the 6th annual Kid’s Fest at Meadowbrook Park! This exciting event features sports instruction, games, activities, arts and crafts, food, and much more. Bring the whole family and enjoy fun for all ages. In the event of inclement weather, Kid’s Fest will move inside the Meadowbrook Athletic Complex.

Event Parking

Parking for Kids Fest will fill up fast, so we strongly encourage carpooling! Please follow signs to designated lots.

 

Parking is available at the following locations and will fill up accordingly:

-Meadowbrook Playground Parking Lot at the corner of Meadowbrook Lane and Long Gate Pkwy

-The Dorsey Building (Complimentary shuttle to and from event) - 9250 Bendix Rd Columbia, MD 21045

**Accessible Parking is available at all lots

**Shuttle Bus Schedule - once an overflow lot is being used, buses will continuously travel from the event to the parking lot for the duration of the event

Do parents need to attend the event with their children?

Yes, parents must attend the event with their children and supervise them at all time.

Do parents need to register for the event?

No, only participants between the ages of 2-12 need to have a ticket for the event.

Does a "Waitlist" ticket get me into the event?

No, if a participant gets a “Waitlist” ticket, their information will be added to an email list and they will be notified if the event is opened to more than the initial maximum. “Waitlist” tickets will not be accepted for entry into the event.

Do I need to print my tickets before coming to the event?

Participants either need to have a printed copy of their ticket(s) to enter the event or the ability to show the confirmation email on their phones.

The event is currently full. Is there a waitlist for the event?

The event initially has a max of 300 spots available for the event. If those spots fill up, please select a “Waitlist” ticket and you’ll be notified if/when ticket sales re-open at which time you’ll be able to purchase a ticket to enter the event. CLICK HERE to purchase your online ticket or get a "Waitlist" ticket.

I missed the cut off for pre-registration. Will we be able to purchase tickets the day of the event?

The initial maximum for the event is 300 participants. If we’re able to open up the event to more than the initial maximum, pre-registration will be opened back up and participants will be able to purchase tickets online before the event. Participants will also be able to purchase tickets onsite with either cash or check at the gate or online (credit card only). It is highly encouraged to pre-register for the event for a quicker entrance into the activities. 

I’m on the waitlist for the event. When will I be notified about enrolling?

The decision will be made about a week prior to the start of the event whether or not the event will be opened up to more registrants. If it is opened, participants who have purchased a “Waitlist” ticket will be notified via email of the openings and will be directed to purchase a ticket to enter the event.
