Learn about Howard County Recreation & Parks’ Junior Counselor Program.

Register early to ensure your spot!

The 2019 Junior Counselor Program emphasizes a high-energy, interactive hands-on learning experience! The program requires students to commit to one mandatory 2019 training camp and two-weeks of field experience. During training, mentors will review the curriculum, use team building techniques and experiential learning to prepare students to apply what they’ve learned on site at their chosen field experiences. Once training has been completed, a Junior Counselor serves on site at a Howard County Recreation & Parks summer camp of their choosing as a "field experience".
