Columbia Big Band
Founded in 2015, the Columbia Big Band operates under the Columbia Bands, Inc. (CBI) umbrella, and was formed to provide an outlet for community members to play in a jazz ensemble. Though some members play and teach music professionally, they are volunteers employed in a wide variety of professions, who share a love of music and a desire to play the many styles performed by jazz ensembles, from jazz/swing, to rock, to Latin. The Columbia Big Band hopes to bring the enjoyment of big band music to a wide audience.

Note: Those wishing to place a blanket or sheet may do so beginning at 8am on July 4. Those wishing to place a tarp on the grass may do so beginning at 3pm. Placement of tarps and chairs must wait until 3pm in order to protect the grass. No boats are permitted on the lake July 3-5. We encourage all attendees to arrive early to avoid traffic congestion. Little Patuxent Parkway will be closed at approximately 7pm and is not to be reopened until the conclusion of the fireworks.

Parking: Free parking is available in the parking lots at the mall or off of Wincopin Circle.
