Howard County Recreation and Parks offers golf lessons to youth and adults in the spring, summer and fall. Lessons are offered on evenings and weekends at several locations. No clubs are required.

Join us for an exciting introduction into the world of golf. This program contains all the elements of golf but in a modified form, making it an easy and fun way to learn and play golf. The system builds on strong fundamentals of putting, chipping, pitching and full swing to develop playing ability quickly and effectively. All SNAG golf equipment is provided. Junior Golf (7-17 yrs)

Tennis, Golf & Fun Camp (5-8 yrs)
This camp introduces you to two lifetime sports that stay with you forever. Learn tennis according to the QuickStart format based on USTA standards and SNAG golf equipment designed to enhance learning. Junior Golf Camp (7-14 yrs)
This camp introduces you to the basic concepts and the fundamentals of golf, including the grip, aim, alignment, stance, posture and swing as the relate to putting, chipping, pitch shots, iron play and tee shots. The positive and fun atmosphere includes instruction in safety, basic rules and etiquete. The last day includes play on the course and course management instruction. In small group lessons for beginners and advanced beginners, learn putting, chipping, driving and iron play. Adult golf lessons are offered at Fairway Hills, Rocky Gorge, and Timbers at Troy.
