Howard County Recreation & Parks offers cycling programs, camps and leagues for all ages and skill levels, from beginners to adult recreational participants.

Little Big Wheelers (3-5 yrs)

Parents, bring your children indoors to the Meadowbrook Athletic Complex to experience the most fun possible on three wheels! Children have a blast on their Big Wheels Trike as they ride around the courts in a fun-filled safe environment. The Meadowbrook staff provides big wheels trikes, instruction and leadership as your little Speed Racers enjoy obstacle courses, individual and team races and all ideas possible while they exercise on their trikes. Races are held annually.  All ages are welcome to participate in this fast-growing and wildly entertaining combination of on-and-off road bicycle racing.  The races are part of the MABRAcross (Mid-Atlantic Bicycle Racing Association) Super 8 series.  Annual USA Cycling license required for Category 1, 2 and 3 riders.  One-day license available for Category 4/5, junior and master riders.  The races are hosted by Recreation & Parks, Adventures for the Cure, and Baltimore Bicycling Club. For more information, contact: Jamie Brentlinger, 410-313-1665 or
