Howard County Recreation & Parks offers cricket programs, camps and leagues in the fall, spring and summer. Adult cricket league matches are played at the region's only regulation cricket pitch at Schooley Mill Park.

Wicket Fun! Youth Cricket (5-10 yrs)

Here is a chance to get a taste of what makes cricket the second most popular sport worldwide! Cricket is a global sport – from India to Pakistan, England to South Africa, and Australia to Howard County. Let quality Recreation & Parks Cricket coaches teach you the X’s & O’s of the fastest growing sport in the United States. The coaches provide a unique curriculum that teaches the fundamentals necessary to understand and perform the game of cricket on the pitch and in the field. During the 8-week program, everyone receives specialized instruction on all aspects of the game, including batting, bowling, fielding and following the rules. No matter your level of experience, whether you have never played or have played for years, this instructional league ensures you leave a better cricket player! The program's focus is on skill development through drills, game rules, and scrimmages. Practice and receive instruction for the first few weeks leading into scrimmage games the second half of the season. All program meetings take place on Saturday mornings. Quality HCRP cricket coaches teach you the X’s and O’s of the fastest growing sport in the United States. HCRP coaches provide a unique curriculum that teaches the fundamentals necessary to understand and perform the game of cricket on the pitch and in the field. During the week long camp, receive specialized instruction on all aspects of the game: batting, bowling, fielding and rules of the game. No matter your level of experience; whether you have never played before or have played for years, this camp leaves you a better cricket player! Adult Cricket League (18+ yrs) 
Howard County area, look no further! Recreation and Parks is excited to offer our area’s most competitive Adult Cricket League! Separate spring and fall seasons are offered. Matches are played at Schooley Mill Park (turf pitch) and Murray Hill Middle School (clay pitch) on Saturdays and Sundays (balanced, rotating schedule, starting between 8am-3pm). Games are 20 overs and limited to three hours in length. Additional league rules TBA to registered teams. Maximum roster is 30 players per team; games are played with 11 players a side. League ball is a heavy/modified tennis ball manufactured for cricket use - any manufacture is eligible. Fee includes game schedule, playoffs, awards, field rental and administration.
