Help create an A to Z nature trail!

This hands-on community art and literacy project celebrates Columbia's 50th anniversary and Anne Robinson's love of nature and reading. From apple blossoms to zebra swallowtails, the A to Z trail will provide visitors with opportunities to practice reading skills, get active, and enjoy elements of our local environment. The trail will be installed along the Robinson Nature Center grounds in the Fall of 2017.

We'll kick-off opportunities to contribute to the trail during a "draw your world" art event. The event will be held at Robinson Nature Center on Sunday, March 26 between 1 and 3 PM. We'll provide ideas and materials, and you bring your artistic creativity (no experience required). This program is free with daily admission or an annual pass.

Additional drop-in opportunities to contribute to the trail are available during our First Saturday Stories programs on Saturday, April 1, May 6, June 3 and July 1, 2017. These programs take place between 11:30 AM and Noon and are free with daily admission or an annual pass.

Children that attend Howard County's Recreational Licensed Childcare Centers are also creating and contributing artwork for the trail during their after-school activities.
