Howard County to host series of workgroups to discuss behavioral health integration options

A series of public meetings during March and April will explore ways to connect and integrate mental health and substance abuse services. A workgroup comprised of members from the Howard County Health Department, the Mental Health Authority, the Board of Health, the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Advisory Board, the Mental Health Authority Board and various non-profit organizations which operate in Howard County will provide recommendations to Howard County Executive Allan H. Howard County Department of Public Works to host public meeting on Lincoln Drive at Cedar Villa Park drainage improvement project

Howard County’s Department of Public Works will hold an informal public meeting on Thursday, Oct. 13 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the cafeteria at Mayfield Woods Middle School, 7950 Red Barn Way in Elkridge to discuss a drainage improvement project. The Department’s Bureau of Engineering has developed phased plans to improve run-off problems that contribute to winter roadway icing on Lincoln Drive, Cedar Avenue and Georgia Avenue in Jessup.

Howard County Department of Public Works to host public meetings on watershed assessment

Howard County Department of Public Works will hold three public meetings - June 21, 23 and 28 - to discuss details of an upcoming comprehensive assessment of the main stem of the county’s Patuxent River and the Patapsco River watersheds. The purpose of the assessment is to measure the current environmental conditions and identify opportunities for restoration projects that should be included in future capital budgets.
