Howard County Executive Announces Public Review of Ellicott City Watershed Master Plan

Howard County Executive Calvin Ball today announced the launch of a 30-day comment period on the draft Ellicott City Watershed Master Plan. This comprehensive, long-range document creates a community-driven vision for historic Ellicott City and the surrounding Tiber Branch Watershed. The master plan establishes goals, desired outcomes and policies for the next 20 years. It also features conceptual illustrations that can serve as inspiration should specific opportunities arise over time.

A Howard County project to conduct soil borings to study the integrity of the structures near Main Street and Maryland Avenue in Ellicott City is expected to begin Tuesday, June 23 and take one week to complete, weather permitting.

Old Ellicott City Featured on Gordon Ramsay’s ‘24 Hours to Hell and Back: Save Our Town,’ Airing Nationally on FOX Tonight 

Three Old Ellicott City businesses received renovations and support from celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay’s for his ‘24 Hours to Hell and Back: Save Our Town” production, premiering tonight to a national television audience from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. on FOX. Ramsay and his crew spent a week in February filming in Ellicott City revamping the selected businesses and completing some beautification projects along Main Street.
