On September 29th, the Howard County Office of Human Rights and Friends of Latin America will hold a “Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration” to commemorate the numerous contributions Hispanic/Latino Americans have made to enrich the fabric of the United States and Howard County. Howard County Government Closings for Independence Day Holiday on July 4th

Howard County Government offices, courts, animal shelter, 50+ centers and Alpha Ridge Landfill will be closed in observance of the Independence Day holiday on Thursday, July 4. As there will be no trash, recycling, yard trim or food scrap pick-up on Independence Day, the county’s holiday "slide” schedule will be in effect.
