Executive Kittleman holds briefing on report from the Spending Affordability Advisory Committee

Howard County Executive Allan H. Kittleman will hold a media briefing on March 1 to discuss the report of the Spending Affordability Advisory Committee. The Committee reviews, in detail, the status and projections of revenues and expenditures for the coming fiscal year 2019, and for Fiscal Years 2020-2024 as well. The report offers guidance to the County Executive as he prepares both his capital and operating budgets.

Howard County budget receives Special Performance Measures Recognition award by national organization 

Howard County has received the Special Performance Measures Recognition as well as the Distinguish Budget Presentation Award from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada. Fewer than two percent of the 1,600 jurisdictions participating in the GFOA’s Distinguished Budget Award program receive a special recognition on performance measures each year nationwide.

Executive Kittleman presents capital improvement budget for Fiscal Year 2017

Howard County Executive Allan H. Kittleman presented to the County Council his $315.7 million Capital Improvement Program (CIP) for Fiscal Year 2017. The budget supports the county’s priorities, including education, public safety, transportation and infrastructure and actually provides more county funding for school projects than in FY 2016.
