Executive Kittleman seeks public input for Central Maryland Transit Development Plan

Howard County Executive Allan H. Kittleman has announced a series of public meetings this fall and in 2017 aimed at developing an updated, short-range Transit Development Plan (TDP) for Central Maryland. The TDP will serve as a guide for transit services in the Central Maryland region and will provide a roadmap for implementing service and organizational improvements, including potential service expansion, during the next five years.

County Executive Kittleman announces pilot bikeshare network in Downtown Columbia

Howard County Executive Allan H. Kittleman today announced a collaborative alliance that will create a pilot bikeshare program network of seven bikeshare stations in Columbia. Considered the fastest growing form of public transportation, bikeshare systems provide a fleet of public bicycles at automated, secure docking stations, located throughout a community, to accommodate point-to-point trips. The system is expected to launch in the spring/summer of 2017.
