Howard County’s Huntington Park playground to reopen after being closed because of vandalism

ELLICOTT CITY, MD – Howard County Executive Allan H. Kittleman, Maryland State Senator Guy J. Guzzone, Howard County Councilperson Jen Terrasa and Department of Recreation & Parks representatives will hold a ribbon cutting on Tuesday, April 25 to mark the reopening of Huntington Park’s playground. Located at 9695 Clocktower Lane in Columbia, the playground has been closed since May 26, 2015 when it was destroyed by arson.

Senator Guzzone was instrumental in obtaining State funding to help rebuild the playground and fund additional park improvements. Recreation & Parks staff then worked with the community to come up with improvements and design changes to update the playground and park to make it more enjoyable for all.
