Howard County Department of Public Works to host public meeting on Dorsey Run interceptor sewer project

ELLICOTT CITY, MD – Howard County’s Department of Public Works (DPW) will hold a public meeting on Thursday, April 27 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the George Howard Building’s Columbia/Ellicott City Room, located at 3430 Court House Drive in Ellicott City, to discuss the study, design and construction of a Dorsey Run interceptor sewer project. The project will involve the replacement, cleaning and lining of 13,000 linear feet of sewer. The project site would follow the existing Dorsey interceptor sewer beginning near US 1 and Assateague Drive, moving southward past Dorsey Run Road and ending at the Dorsey Run pumping station at 8181 Patuxent Range Road in Jessup.

A formal presentation, including the proposed design plans, will take place starting at 7:00 p.m. After the presentation, DPW staff members will remain on hand to explain the proposed plans, answer any questions and gather public comments.
