Vendors sought for Howard County’s 8th annual WomenFest, now featuring Core Camp

ELLICOTT CITY, MD – Howard County’s Department of Citizen Services invites businesses that offer products or services which promote women’s health, wellness, fashion and beauty to register for exhibit space at this year’s WomenFest. Back for its 8th year, this signature wellness event for women will be held on Saturday, April 30 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Gary J. Arthur Community Center in Glenwood, 2400 Route 97 in Cooksville. Admission and parking are free.

Coordinated by the Department’s Office on Aging, last year’s WomenFest attracted 600 participants and more than 100 vendors and exhibitors. New this year, the event will feature Core Camp, a series of free 45 minute fitness classes, including Yoga, Pilates and Yogalates. Free health screenings also will be offered, and a series of interactive workshops and engaging seminars will focus on topics including painting on canvas, sexual health, digestive and sleep issues, decluttering, and how to add more balance, meaning and mindfulness to your life. Line dancing and cooking demos will round out the day’s activities.
