September 11th Remembrance Ceremony

Howard County Executive Allan H. Kittleman and command members from both the County Police and Fire Departments will honor and pay tribute to all who lost their lives during the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, with the laying of the traditional laurel wreath at Centennial Park’s “Garden of Hope.” The Garden of Hope was designed and officially dedicated thirteen years ago on the first anniversary of the September 11 tragedy to remember the four victims from Howard County who lost their lives on that tragic day.

24th Annual Howard County Police Pace

Howard County Police Foundation will sponsor the 24th Annual Police Pace 5K Race and 1 Mile Fun Walk & Run to benefit families of fallen officers; scholarship funds; creation, renovations and maintenance to the Department’s Fallen Officers Memorial Garden; after-school programs for at-risk youth; and bicycles for police bike patrols.

Robinson Nature Center 4th Anniversary Open House and “Nature Place” Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

County Executive Runs Farm and Farmer Runs County

To kickoff Howard County’s annual Farm-City Celebration, County Executive Allan H. Kittleman will trade places with farmer Justin Brendel and help run the Brendel family farm operation in Woodbine, while Justin takes over as County Executive for the day. They’ll finish out their job exchange by sharing their experiences at the annual Job Exchange Luncheon, hosted at Brendel Farms, Inc.
