ELLICOTT CITY, MD – Howard County Executive Calvin Ball will host the 4th annual Toys for Tots Giveaway this Saturday, December 14th, at 9:00 a.m. at the Long Reach Village Center in Columbia.

"For four years, Toys for Tots has provided free toys to thousands of children in Howard County. We are grateful for our Marines who started this important initiative to help every child feel special this holiday season," said Ball. "I'm thankful for everyone who contributed, donated, and volunteered this year - a testament that Howard County believes in fostering a better community for all and that together we can create a merrier holiday for our neighbors in need."

This year, there are more than 600 of our most vulnerable families registered to receive gifts for their children. Thanks to a collaboration with Toys for Tots and a generous community which supports the season of giving, more than 1,000 children will have a brighter, merrier holiday.

Last minute donations can be brought to the George Howard Building in Ellicott City before 12 p.m. today, December 13th. Community members can also make monetary donations online at www.toysfortots.org.

Additionally, on Saturday Executive Ball will be attending the Free Bikes 4 Kids giveaway at 11:30 a.m. at the Columbia Flier Building at 10750 Little Patuxent Parkway.
