ELLICOTT CITY, MD – Howard County Executive Calvin Ball will be hosting the “Bring Your Child to Work Day” kick-off event on Thursday, April 25th at the Elkridge Fire Station. The event, for children ages 5 and up, will feature interactive stations related to the fire department, animal shelter, energy conservation, native birds, county parks and other children’s programs. Also, a shuttle will be provided for a brief field trip to the Waste Management Recycle America plant at Kit Kat Road to learn about what happens to the contents of our blue recycle bins. Children will be welcome at county facilities throughout the day regardless of their participation in the morning kick-off event.

"I want Howard County to be even more family-friendly and I invite all county employees to bring their children to this fun and educational kick-off,” said Ball. “This day is a unique chance to learn outside of the classroom and see the good work being done by our invaluable employees in Howard County.”
