Howard County to hold first conference on human trafficking awareness and prevention

ELLICOTT CITY, MD – Howard County Executive Allan H. Kittleman and the Department of Community Resources and Services will hold the county’s first conference on Human Trafficking Awareness and Prevention, designed to heighten awareness of labor and sexual human trafficking in our region. Experts and attendees will focus on recent efforts to end trafficking and strategize about new tactics. The conference will feature a survivors’ panel, keynote presentation, breakout sessions and a sworn officers’ symposium.

The Howard County Conference on Human Trafficking Awareness and Prevention is a call to action to spread awareness of the crimes of sexual and labor human trafficking and to increase efforts to combat it in the region.
