Montgomery Run Road storm water pond repair project to begin

ELLICOTT CITY, MD – A Howard County construction project to repair a storm water pond on Montgomery Run Road in the vicinity of Waterloo Road (Maryland Route 108) in Ellicott City is scheduled to begin on or about Monday, August 3. The project will convert the dry pond to a shallow, wet storm water management structure. The metal outfall riser and pipe will be replaced with concrete structures, and the pond elevation will be lowered to increase treatment of water quality. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by late September 2015.

The project is not expected to impact the flow of traffic in the area. “Notice of Public Works Construction” signs will be posted in the area to alert residents of the project.

For questions or concerns about Capital Project D-1159, contact Lisa Brightwell, Public Works Customer Service, at 410-313-3440 or email publicworks@howardcountymd.gov.
