County Executive Kittleman Seeks Members for Board of Electrical Examiners

ELLICOTT CITY, MD – Howard County Executive Allan H. Kittleman is currently seeking one applicant from the general public and two licensed electricians interested in serving on the County’s Board of Electrical Examiners. 

Comprised of seven members, the Board must include four licensees under electrical regulations or representatives of an electrical inspection bureau, one electrical engineer and two general public members. Board members are responsible for making recommendations to the Director of Inspections, Licenses and Permits, the County Executive and the County Council on all matters relating to electrical work in Howard County, including the conduct of electrical business and licenses.  

To be eligible for consideration, candidates must be Howard County residents, 18 years of age or older and have an interest in electrical work. The Board meets on an as needed basis; meetings are held at 5:00 p.m. in the Department of Inspections, Licenses and Permits, located on the first floor of the George Howard Building, 3430 Court House Drive in Ellicott City.

Applicants should send a resume and a brief letter explaining why they want to serve on the Board to: Howard County Government, Office of the County Executive, Attn: David Lee, 3430 Court House Drive, Ellicott City, MD 21043. The names of eligible applicants will be submitted to the County Executive for approval and then to the County Council for confirmation. The deadline to apply is Friday, March 23.
