Little Patuxent Interceptor Sewer Rehabilitation Continues

ELLICOTT CITY, MD – A Howard County construction project to rehabilitate the existing sanitary sewer main along the Little Patuxent River from Allview Drive to Maryland Route 108 in Columbia is scheduled to begin on or about Wednesday, August 19. This portion of the Little Patuxent Interceptor Sewer project will include the lining of approximately 13,000 linear feet of 30-inch sewer interceptor main, and the reconstruction and lining of 53 existing 50-inch diameter manholes. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by early October 2016.

Motorists can expect the occasional slowing of traffic at project entry points on Allview Drive, Carlinda Avenue, Stevens Forest Road, South Entrance Road, Leaf Treader Way, Maryland Route 175, Columbia Road, Ten Mills Road and Maryland Route 108 as construction vehicles enter and depart the site. Work will begin in the vicinity of Allview Drive and will continue in an upstream direction. Flagging operations will be in place to direct traffic as needed and signs will be posted to advise residents of the construction.
