2018 - Elkridge Library and Fire Station

New Elkridge Library & 50+ Center: opened in 2018 was constructed on the site of the original Elkridge Library. The new building is both beautiful and sustainable and achieved LEED Gold.

34,000 sf of library space that includes Reading Stacks, Classrooms, Meeting Rooms, Study Rooms, Lounge space, a Tool Lending Library, a designated Teen area and a Children’s library.

9,100 sf 50+ Center that includes lounge space, classrooms, Multi-purpose space, a Fitness Room and outdoor seating. Also includes a n enclosed patio for outdoor children’s programming, water wall feature near the entrance, walking paths among landscaped areas, and decorative and Permeable concrete pavers.

 2018 - North Columbia Station Community Meeting and Presentation

Bureau of Facilities, Fire & Rescue, and AECOM presented the plan for the New North Columbia Fire Station #15. The need is based on population density, response time, and redundancy during the Banneker Station #7 replacement. Banneker is currently the busiest station with Tamar the second busiest station.
