Howard County Housing Commission

The Howard County Housing Commission is an independent State chartered Public Housing Authority that was established in 1990. Its Board of Commissioners consists of 7 members and are appointed by the County Executive and approved by the County Council. The Housing Commission provides a variety of housing opportunities for Howard County citizens: it develops and manages housing resources for low and moderate income residents: it owns and maintains below- and -market rate residential property;  develops affordable housing opportunities with county, state and federal agencies and developer partnerships; and, it operates the County's Housing Choice Voucher Program.
