County Executive Transition Process
 

About the Process

The transition team is tasked with studying and evaluating the operational areas of the Howard County government, with a focus on innovative opportunities to move our county forward.  Recommendations will be presented to the administration early in January 2019.  The team’s priorities include:
  • Evaluating the current operations of government
  • Listening to the community and ensuring that their voices are heard
  • Setting a vision, goals and priorities for his administration 

About the Team

Comprised of more than 100 talented and forward thinking leaders, the transition team shares a vested interest in paving the way to a bright future for all who live and work in Howard County. The steering committee and 10 subcommittees will develop recommendations in the following areas:  Administration, Citizen Services, Economic Development, Education, Environment, Healthcare, Housing, Planning/Zoning Permits, Public Safety, and Public Works.
