Howard County Police Offering $1000 Reward For Suspect Information on a March Hit and Run Collision In Ellicott City

Fatal Hit and Run Remains Unsolved $1000 Reward for Information

The Howard County Police Department is offering a $1,000 reward for information on the driver who struck and killed a 37-year-old man in Ellicott City in March. Gordon Dungan was hit around 7 p.m. March 11 as he crossed Baltimore National Pike, also known as Rt. 40, near Rogers Avenue. Police recovered a car mirror at the scene and believe the suspect was driving a 1998-2002 model Toyota Corolla CE.

Investigators are unsure of the color of the car and say it could be a two- or four-door model. It is likely that the car was missing a driver’s side mirror after the incident and had damage to the hood or front fender.

Investigators are asking anyone who witnessed the incident, which appears to have been caused by pedestrian error, to call police at (410) 313-3200. They also are encouraging anyone who knows the owner or driver of a 1998-2002 Toyota Corolla and believes that vehicle may have been involved in a collision in March to come forward.
