Small Efficiency Apartments

Small Efficiency Apartments - Beechcrest Mobile Home Park Redevelopment

Howard County Housing has created this web page to provide the latest information on the Permanent Supportive Housing Project proposed for the Beechcrest Mobile Home property on Route 1 in North Laurel.

The project would create between 35 and 50 small efficiency apartments for chronically homeless Howard County residents, while linking them with needed support services that will help them set on a path toward self-sufficiency. The property would also contain a replacement for the Day Resource Center located on Route 1.

The project is part of Howard County’s Plan to End Homelessness, and is being developed with an intent toward improving the current site, maintaining and growing nearby property values and providing a safe and well-managed housing opportunity for an underserved segment of the population. Residents of existing mobile homes will be provided with relocation services so that they find equivalent nearby housing.

Howard County Housing is committed to a collaborative development process that includes community input. This Web page will be used to promote community meetings and updated plans as they evolve.
