Department of Public Works, Customer Service

(410) 313-3440

The Department of Public Works (DPW) Customer Service division handles inquiries and acts as a liaison between the citizens of Howard County and DPW. Additionally, the staff prepares press releases, notifies the community of DPW-related construction and activities, works with the County’s Public Information Office, and attends meetings with the County Council and community associations relative to public works activities.

In matters of providing the finest quality water; maintaining roads and traffic signals/signs; safely collecting, treating and disposing of sewage; collecting and disposing of garbage and recyclables; or engineering new projects, the Howard County Department of Public Works touches the lives of citizens in many ways.
