Cancer Prevention Study: Howard County is participation in CPS-3, a major cancer prevention study by the American Cancer Society. County Executive Ken Ulman issued the “Ulman 1,000” challenge, to encourage 1,000 Howard County residents to enroll in this important research project. The goal of the study is “to better understand the factors (lifestyle, environmental, genetic) that cause or prevent cancer and, ultimately, to help to eliminate cancer as a major health concern for future generations.” If you are interested in the study, please click here to see the CPS-3 website for details and eligibility criteria.
