Public safety is a top priority in Howard County. Residents and visitors must feel safe to live, work and play here. The nationally-accredited Howard County Police Department, Department of Fire and Rescue Services and Office of Emergency Management work together to ensure people are protected, well-treated and prepared, whenever possible, for an emergency.
