Rte. 216 Pumping Station Upgrade

The scope of work to be performed under this contract consists of the furnishing of all materials and the construction, complete in place, for upgrading the Rte. 216 Pumping Station including three (3) new end suction pumps, valves, and fittings, standby generator, control modifications and site restoration with miscellaneous appurtenances and incidental items of work as shown on the contract drawings for Contract no. 44-4579, specified in the contract documents, or as directed by the Engineer. This project is in Cost Group “B”. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check in the amount of 5% of the total bid, made payable to the “Director of Finance, Howard County”. The County anticipates a notice to proceed with construction on or about February 2, 2009.

Bid documents for the subject solicitation will be available beginning October 20, 2008 for a non-refundable fee of $50.

A pre-bid meeting will be held in the Engineering Conference Room, Dorsey Building, 9250 Bendix Road, Columbia, MD 21045 at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 3, 2008.
