Program Services

The VAS offers the following programs and/or services:

Crisis Intervention Assistance:

The staff of the Victim Assistance Section will provide crisis intervention services and assistance to victims of crime on an as-needed basis.

Follow-up Contact:

As a victim of violent crime, or an elderly victim of crime, you will receive follow-up contact from a Victim Advocate shortly after your victimization. The Advocate will answer any questions you may have concerning your case and will also provide you with referral resources where appropriate.

Information and Referrals

The Victim Assistance Section works with many social service, private non-profit organizations and county agencies which can provide you with services such as counseling, support groups and emergency assistance.

Property Return

We will assist you in obtaining any property not held in evidence by the Police, States Attorney’s Office or Court.
