Officer of the Month

December 2007

PFC Jason Morrill

PFC Jason Morrill was selected as the Police Officer of the Month for December 2007. During the month, Morrill had 14 arrests, 39 incidents handled, 26 traffic contacts, 15 liquor checks and 71 business checks.

Morrill was dispatched in December to a reported domestic assault. Upon arrival, he contacted the reporting person, who was bleeding from a cut above her nose. Morrill used his Spanish language skills to translate both the victim’s and suspect’s accounts. As a result of his investigation, Morrill arrested the male subject for assault.

He also charged a suspect who was firing a shotgun into the air, and arrested a juvenile involved in a fight with assault and a concealed deadly weapon. In another case, Morrill recognized two known criminals as suspects in a robbery and assault, went to the suspects’ homes and placed them under arrest. Morrill is an officer whose work reflects very positively on the entire police department.
