Police Officer of the Month

Chief Livesay has selected Officer Robert Rauch as officer of the month for February. With an exemplary work ethic and great instincts, Officer Rauch’s proactive efforts did not do unnoticed by his squad or supervisor.

In thirteen days Officer Rauch’s routine activity necessitated 57 reports with an additional seven self-initiated reports. During his patrol time, Officer Rauch issued 77 citations while completing radar road assignments and stationary LASER enforcement details with members of his squad. Not surprisingly, these stops produced 5 traffic-related arrests, about 1 arrest from every 15 vehicles Officer Rauch stopped plus two additional criminal arrests. Two arrests were the result of traffic stops for less obvious violations, such as a cracked windshield and a missing front tag. Later the same day, while working a radar assignment, Officer Rauch arrested a suspended driver- affecting three arrests in one day!

Always ready to take on extra assignments or volunteer for details, Officer Rauch was a positive influence for his patrol squad and showed motivation, dedication and a consistent desire to serve our citizens. Congratulations on a job well done!
