Howard County Government Closings for Veterans’ Day Holiday on November 12
Howard County Government offices, courts, senior centers and animal shelter will be closed in observance of Veterans’ Day on Monday, November 12. However, regular trash and recycling services will be in effect and the landfill will be open. County parks, the North Laurel Community Center, Gary J. Arthur Community Center, Roger Carter Recreation Center and Meadowbrook Athletic Complex will also be open; however, the Robinson Nature Center and Kiwanis-Wallas Recreation Center will be closed. Howard Transit’s Brown, Green, Orange, Red and Silver routes, and Connect-A-Ride Routes J and K will operate on a Sunday schedule; Howard Transit’s Gold, Yellow and Purple routes and Connect-A-Ride Routes A, B, C, E, F, G, H and M will not operate. The 9-1-1 Center, Police and Fire departments remain staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. For emergencies, call 9-1-1. For non-emergencies, please call 410-313-2200.
