Howard County to Host Meeting on Human Service Grant Application Process

ELLICOTT CITY, MD – The Howard County Department of Citizen Services will hold a pre-submission meeting for representatives from non-profit organizations interested in applying for Community Service Partnership (CSP) grants on Thursday, December 18 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The meeting will be held at the Gateway Building, 6751 Columbia Gateway Drive, Columbia in Room 4.

CSP grants provide 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations with funding to support the delivery of essential human services in the Howard County community. CSP funds may be used for operating expenses to support the on-going administrative functioning of an agency or for project expenses to support the cost of a specific program or service.

To be eligible, an agency must:

  1. Be a 501(c)(3) non-profit
  2. Serve the residents of Howard County
  3. Conform with federal, state and local housing and human rights laws in providing services
  4. Provide a service that addresses one or more of the result areas or overarching issues in the Howard County Human Services Master Plan

Grant applications are due by Friday, January 30, 2009. Applications are available on-line at www.howardcountymd.gov/Citizen Services/, beginning Thursday, December 18, or by calling the Department of Citizen Services at 410-313-6400.
