Final Call for Howard County “Volunteer of the Year” Nominations

ELLICOTT CITY-- County Executive Ken Ulman and members of the County Council want to remind you that January 28 is the deadline to nominate individuals or community organizations for the annual Howard County “Volunteer of the Year” awards.

To qualify, nominees must be either residents of Howard County or do their volunteer work in Howard County. In addition, their volunteer efforts should make an impact on either an individual or the community. Executive Ulman and the Council will honor all nominees at a ceremony and reception on March 4 at 7:30 p.m., in the Banneker Room of the George Howard Building, 3430 Courthouse Drive in Ellicott City. The event is free and open to the public.

Nomination forms can be downloaded from the county’s web site at www.howardcountymd.gov or you can call Howard County’s Office of Public Information, (410) 313-2022, and ask to have one mailed to you. Forms may be faxed to (410) 313-3299 or can be mailed and postmarked by the January 28 deadline.
