BUDGET

Funding is jointly provided by the County and State. Maryland’s Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DHMH) establishes policy for many of the mandated core programs. The County contributes to funding basic services and also supports additional programs of local importance. For fiscal year 2007, the Health Department’s budget is $16,488,844 of which $7,427,036 is County funded.
