Driving Directions to Historic Ellicott City, MD

Towson

Take 695 west to Frederick road, take Frederick west for approx. 5 miles, you enter Ellicott City going over the Patapsco River and under the railroad bridge. (look for the B & O Railroad Museum: Ellicott City Station on your left)

Washington

Take 95 north to 100 west to 29 north, stay in right lane and take route 40 east, at first light make a right onto Rogers Avenue, after the county office complex take a right onto Ellicott Mills Drive, continue until you come to Main Street Historic Ellicott City, turn left at the light for down town. (if you take the left turn before you get to Main Street, there is parking there in Lot F)

Glen Burnie

Take 100 west to 29 north, stay in right lane and take route 40 east, at first light make a right onto Rogers Avenue, after the county office complex take a right onto Ellicott Mills Drive, continue until you come to Main Street Historic Ellicott City, turn left at the lights for down town. (if you take the left turn before you get to Main Street, there is parking there in lot F.)

Frederick

Take 70 east to 29 south, take exit 24 East for route 40 east, at second light make a right onto Rogers Avenue, after the county office complex take a right onto Ellicott Mills Drive, continue until you come to Main Street Historic Ellicott City, turn left at the lights for down town. (if you take the left turn before you get to Main Street, there is parking there in lot F.)

There is free and metered parking in the Historic District. Lots A & F are entirely free; Lots B & C & E are all fully metered and Lot D is metered in the front of the lot & free at the rear of the lot.

Meters are in force from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Non-metered on street parking has a two hour limit
