Welcome Message From State Senator and Howard County Tourism Board Member James N. Robey

We’re pleased to present Howard County Tourism's website to all that’s happening in Howard County. Whether you call Howard County home or you’re one of our welcome guests, I know this Guide will demonstrate just how much we have to offer!

We think our location between Baltimore and our Nation’s Capital makes the perfect home base for folks who’ve come to visit our region. We have historic sites we’re proud of, unique shipping venues, fine restaurants, and superb accommodations – the best of the old and the new! And if that’s not enough, I’d like to suggest a concert, theatrical performance, our annual arts festival, or a stroll around the lakeside of one of our award-winning parks.

This website will cover it all. Please keep it handy and refer to it often. I believe after you’ve had a chance to look through it, you’ll agree with me – Howard County is a great place to live and wonderful place to visit!

Jim Robey,
Maryland State Senator
