Request a Permit for a Recreational Fire

Recreational Fire Permits are issued as single use permits for recreational fires only. It is illegal in Howard County to hold a recreational fire without a permit issued by the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services Bureau of Life Safety. More information about these types of fires is available (click here). It is illegal to burn refuse, brush or other materials outdoors in Howard County, and no permits are issued for that purpose.

Depending upon the type of response, permits will be either mailed, faxed or emailed to you.

PLEASE ALLOW SEVEN BUSINESS DAYS FOR PERMIT PROCESSING.
