About Howard Transit
Howard Transit is the local public transit service for Howard County, Maryland and is a service of Howard County Government. The County is committed to providing safe, reliable and convenient transit services to County residents.
Howard County contracts service administration and operation to a Transit Manager. The Department of Planning and Zoning Transportation Planning Division oversees the functions of the Transit Manager.
